THE PLANNING is out of the window, what should have been an easy bit has been difficult and the really hard bit has just begun. The first 15 days of The Race has seen Club Med cover about 4,500 of the 23,000 miles we have to do to sail round the globe.

We are still in close company with our two 109ft sisterships: Team Adventure, skippered by Cam Lewis, and Innovation Express, with Loick Peyron in charge.
