; Jose De Matos has appeared before Gloucester Crown Court to plead not guilty to a charge of rape. De Matos, 34, of Pennine Road, Cheltenham, denied raping a woman on August 31, 2006. Judge Martin Picton adjourned the case until January 31 and released De Matos on bail.
