PHILADELPHIA Cade McNown's reckless style and penchant for running made him a candidate for injury.

So why in the world wouldn't the Bears have given second-string quarterback Jim Miller a snap or two with the first team in practice?

Miller only gets his repetitions when running the scout team and impersonating Donovan McNabb and Daunte Culpepper so the Bears' defense can get a feel for what the opposition will run.
