Reality check: Time for Grace, Cubs to bid each other farewell

DENVER Mark Grace and others around the Cubs increasingly feel he
is in his final days in Chicago.
It has become apparent by talking to Grace and team insiders that
the 36-year-old first baseman is unlikely to be signed for 2001,
which will end a 13-year tenure as one of the Cubs' most popular
