SYDNEY, Australia The prison-to-pride tale of Chicago heavyweight
Michael Bennett ended abruptly today when he couldn't survive the
third round against gold-medal favorite Felix Savon of Cuba.
The four-round Olympic quarterfinal fight was stopped by referee
Peter Ajtai with four seconds left in the third round, with Bennett
trailing 23-8. Afterward, Savon danced through the tunnel of the
boxing venue with his hands raised and a wide smile on his face. But
he knew he didn't have it easy...
