Jack Lemmon, 76, an actor who starred in such legendary comedies
and dramas as "Some Like It Hot," "The Apartment" and "Missing," died
of cancer June 27 at a hospital in Los Angeles.
He starred with the late Walter Matthau in such hit film comedies
as "The Fortune Cookie," "The Odd Couple" and the "Grumpy Old Men"
series. Mr. Lemmon appeared in more than 60 films, including "Mister
Roberts," "Days of Wine and Roses," "Save the Tiger," "The Out of
