Dodge sets course for return to Winston Cup
|
The long-rumored return of Dodge to NASCAR Winston Cup racing is
coming. DaimlerChrysler announced last week it would field at least
five teams for the 2001 season.
As expected, Ray Evernham will lead the manufacturer's return to
the series and oversee development of the Intrepid. Evernham left
Hendrick Racing two weeks ago, where he helped Jeff Gordon capture 47
victories and three Winston Cup championships, to take on the new
challenge.
