Canada goes retro, honors its workers

Reproductions of classic stamps are very popular right now, and Canada is returning to one of its most famous.

It's the world's first Christmas stamp, although it doesn't look the part.

The 1898 stamp was Canada's first commemorative. Its entire design is used as the centerpiece of a new first-class stamp. The stamp also honors Sir William Mulock, Canada's postmaster general from 1896 through 1905, who successfully lobbied for the "penny post."
