Spotlight solo // Museums focus on single artists
|
Chicago's new art season is shaping up as the year of the solo
exhibition. Despite some solid theme shows in the lineup, the
majority of big shows at the city's prime art venues will focus
during the coming months on single artists. There will be debuts,
mid-career surveys and large-scale retrospectives. More than half
will concentrate on the work of Chicago-based artists.
The season's hottest ticket, however, will once again get you in
to see the work of a major French Impressionist. It seems our love
