Erin Meyers, 2, squirmed and fussed in her $300 beaded peach
dress Sunday, restlessly awaiting her turn in the spotlight at the
America's Beautiful Babies & Kids pageant in Mundelein.
"When it's nap time, forget it," said the Lockport toddler's
mother, Vikki Meyers. "I think we're going to take time off from
pageants after this."
Erin, the reigning Little Miss Illinois in the 0 to 35 months
age category, was one of 52 girls and teenagers competing for a title
in the first America's Beautiful Babies & Kids Illinois State
Pageant.
