Guy does it all // Former sitcom star sings, dances and acts in `Chicago'

Jasmine Guy loves surprising people. "Whenever people say I can't do
something, that really gets me going.
"When I was a dancer, they told me I couldn't sing. When I was
singing, they said I couldn't act. And when I was acting (on TV),
they said I couldn't do theater again.
"Transitions are what my life is all about. . . . I love to
show people they don't know what they're talking about."
Guy slipped into Chicago recently to talk about her upcoming
six-week stint here with the national tour of the hit Broadway
revival of Kander and Ebb's "Chicago," opening July 23 at the Shubert
