ERUSALEM, May 31 -- Faisal Husseini, the Palestinian leader in
Jerusalem who adapted his prominent family's bitter multi-
generational struggle against Zionism to what he imagined would be a
new era of diplomacy and pragmatism, died today in Kuwait City after
suffering a heart attack. He was 60 years old.
Mr. Husseini, friendly, unassuming and open, inherited the mantle
