Chicago blues musicians capture 2 awards

Chicago musicians had a mid-tempo evening at the Grammys. The
attention-grabbing Smashing Pumpkins won just one award out of seven
nominations, but there were other scattered wins and a few surprising
shutouts.
James Cotton, a musician whose Chicago blues roots run deep,
collected a traditional blues album Grammy for "Deep in the Blues."
The 61-year-old harmonica player, who replaced Junior Wells in Muddy
Waters' great band in 1955 and remained until 1966, has lived in
