Chicago's top dog // 5-year-old Pekingese wins 21st career best-in-show

A Pekingese born in Scotland won his 21st career best in show title at the International Kennel Club of Chicago's fall dog show at Navy Pier Sunday.

Champion Yakee A Town Called Malice was named best in show by judge Eugene Blake of Tulsa, Okla.

Blake awarded the 5-year-old Peke his title from a finals field that included a borzoi, mastiff, Norfolk terrier, briard, Chinese Shar-pei and English setter. "They were all good dogs but he probably better represented his breed than any," Blake said. "He's in very good shape." The Peke was handled in the ring by Hiram Stewart of New Orleans. ...
