After Waddling to the Cellar, Mighty Ducks Dismiss Charron

The Mighty Ducks fired Coach Guy Charron after they finished with
the worst record in the Western Conference, said Pierre Gauthier, the
team's general manager.
Charron, an assistant coach at the time, was promoted to replace
the fired Craig Hartsburg with 49 games remaining in the season.
The Ducks finished at 25-41-11-5 for 66 points, last in the
Pacific Division. They had fewer points than Minnesota and Columbus,
the two expansion teams that joined the West this season. Under the
52-year-old Charron, the Ducks were 14-26-7-2.
