Oh, Heavens! // Adler's Carlson Looks to the Skies
|
When Eric Carlson wants to jolt his students out of the slumber that
often overtakes visitors to the dark and starry Adler Planetarium sky
show, he pops in his "cosmic memory slide."
This picture of galaxies and nebulas seems to take the viewer
out of his normal everyday experience and projects him or her into
deepest space. Carlson, the head astronomer at the Adler, explains
that stumbling on cosmic memory has an almost spiritual effect on
people.
