HOUSTON Russian cosmonaut Vladimir Titov leads a charmed life.

The former Russian Air Force test pilot avoided crashing a malfunctioning Soyuz spacecraft into the Salyut 7 space station in April, 1983, saving his ship, two crew mates and his own neck.
