ATLANTA Eight Atlanta ministers today urged NFL players to join a demonstration before Sunday's Super Bowl that will protest Georgia's state flag.

The flag, which since 1956 has included the Confederate battle emblem, is a symbol of "Georgia's racist past," said the Rev. Tim McDonald, pastor of First Iconium Baptist Church.
