A Love-in at Cubby Bear // '60s Cult Rocker Arthur Lee Showed Fans He Hadn't Lost It

When Arthur Lee came back for his one-song encore Saturday night
at the Cubby Bear, his fans weren't ready to let him go. His
50-minute set was wildly satisfying, but one they wanted to savor for
at least another hour.
Acknowledging the crowd's love fest, Lee apologized, "This has to
be my last song . . . unless someone has some Geritol."
And with that, the 48-year-old singer with the still perfect
tenor led his band, Love, in the final song of his set, "A House is
Not a Motel," a signature tune from Love's classic 1967 "Forever
Changes."
