Ken McCarthy saw blue and gold, not black and white.

"I've always heard about Simeon and was impressed by their tradition," McCarthy said. "If I was going to go to a public school in the city, I wanted to play with the best. I don't care what color they are."

In this case, McCarthy is not talking about the school colors.
