|
"Elevator surfing" has claimed another child's life in a Chicago
Housing Authority complex.
Surfing involves getting on the roof of an elevator and riding
it up and down - and sometimes leaping from the roof of one moving
elevator to another, when the elevators are in pairs.
Jermaine Baker, 8, was crushed to death Sunday night while
riding atop an elevator at 2950 W. Harrison in the CHA's Harrison
Courts complex, police said.
