Mundelein Pulls Upset
|
After being upset Friday by Lake Forest, No. 13 Stevenson was looking for a victory at home against Mundelein Saturday night to at least stay in second place in the North Suburban.
They didn't get it. A tough Mundelein (9-6, 4-3) club stung Stevenson (11-4, 6-2) with its second consecutive loss 82-72. Mundelein has won eight of its last nine.
Stevenson led 40-38 after a half marked by numerous lead changes.
Mundelein was led Gerald Coleman with 21 points, and three players - Kyle Kessel, Matt Brua and Thad Miller - scored 19 each.
