Flotsam and Jetsam has always peeked in at the heavy metal
party. Now it thinks it's about to get invited in.
The band, playing Thursday at the Metro, has a cult base, said
guitarist Ed Carlson. "But we (could) never break through."
Now, with a huge push from its record label and the arrival of
bassist Jason Ward, a Chicagoan, "that little dark cloud is shining
