Ice-T Takes `Cop Killer' Off His Album
|
LOS ANGELES Warner Bros. Records will pull the controversial
song "Cop Killer" from the "Body Count" album of rap music artist
Ice-T at his request and will give the song away as a single instead,
the musician said Tuesday.
The move wasn't prompted by law enforcement protests over the
song, but to shield the Time Warner media company and its Warner
Bros. record label from further criticism, Ice-T said.
"It's not a Warner Bros. fight. It's my fight," he said at a
press conference.
A remastered "Body Count" album should be in stores in three to
