Sinal Tap fans suffered a jolt recently when, during a guest spot on "The `Simpsons," the band appeared to perish in a fiery crash caused by Bart Simpson's school bus.

More bad luck for the Tap? The end of the tour for their new LP, "Break like the Wind," which starts today and hits Chicago on Friday? Or merely a cartoon caper?
