"Look, mom, no hands," say kids when riding a bicycle with no hands on the handlebars.

"Look folks, no gasoline," I felt like saying, while threading through Chicago traffic last weekend in a new Buick LeSabre.

I could have added, "And almost no pollution, too."

The big, sleek LeSabre was one clean machine, humming along on low-emission propane, the stuff Chicagoans know best as the fuel for gas grills. The LeSabre is one of three cars General Motors' Buick division has converted to propane as part of GM's alternative fuel research.
