Lutheran, Reformed churches urged to unite

U.S. Lutheran and Reformed theologians want to put 450 years of separation behind them, proposing "full communion" between their churches, leaders said Thursday.

Subject to approval by their denominations, the theologians urge the churches to recognize each other's ministerial ordinations, share communion and lift condemnations directed between them centuries ago.
