SALT LAKE CITY A career-high 27 points by John Paxson and a
game-high 40 points by Michael Jordan swirled down the drain in a
108-107 loss to the Jazz Wednesday night. What a waste!
"We gave it away," Jordan said. "I'd rather lose a game being
blown out by 30 than to lose a game like this."
Indeed, it was a giveaway. The Bulls led 107-100 with 40.3
seconds left and the Salt Palace capacity crowd of 12,016 was
graveyard quiet because it seemed their club was dead.
