Robert Morris College gets $400,000 bid for campus
|
CARTHAGE, Ill. The 20-acre campus of Robert Morris College,
including 484 dormitory rooms, four classroom buildings, the library,
gym and even a fabled "kissing rock," sold Thursday at auction for
$400,000.
To the cheers of some students and nearby residents who fear the
loss of the college, the College Education Foundation, a nonprofit
group of Carthage-area businesses, won the bidding with the only
offer.
