A Peck of pitching prowess // Downers North improves

If Downers Grove North pitcher Brandi Peck gets any better,
opposing hitters may be in for a long spring.
Peck's earned run average has dropped from 9.63, when she moved
to the Chicago area from Colorado as a freshman, to 1.76 in two
years.
The turnaround has been consistent. She lowered her ERA to 4.82
the summer following her freshman year. As a sophomore, she dropped
