Corsica `hatch' follows Chevy history

It's no great feat whipping up an attractive, four-door performance sedan for $30,000-plus. But Chevrolet has come up with such a car for approximately $12,000.

The Chevy is the new Corsica four-door hatchback with the LT option package and V-6 engine.

I found while testing the Corsica LT hatchback that it is in the grand Chevy tradition of offering lots of driving fun for low dollars.

Go back through the history of Chevy and you'll find a whole bunch of coupes and sedans that delivered lots of bang for low bucks.

Those autos included the 1955-57 Chevy V-8 sedans, 1960s Chevy Impala ...
