OOn Aug. 25, 1968, the Sunday edition of the Chicago Sun-Times carried a story by Nicholas Daniloff, then a correspondent for UPI, who, almost 18 years later to the day, would find himself arrested by the KGB in Moscow and thrown into Lefortovo Prison.

The title of Daniloff's story that day was "LBJ Aimed at World Opinion." The first paragraph ran like this: "President Johnson's sharply worded warning against aggression in Eastern Europe was an effort to marshal public opinion and discourage any possible Soviet invasion of Romania."
