PHOENIX Neal Walk, who had a journeyman's career in the National Basketball Association, might have become just a footnote to history - the other guy in the coin flip that sent Kareem Abdsul-Jabbar to the Milwaukee Bucks and Walk here to the Phoenix Suns - if it were not for a tumor that grew silently inside his spinal cord.
