In this lackluster national election campaign, Americans have sought in vain for some candidate to rise above the politically trite into the realm of inspiration.

Ironically, last week the eager students of Moscow State University were lifted to that realm in a dazzling speech by Ronald Reagan to which, the Washington Post reported, "the students and their professors . . . gave a standing ovation at the end."
