Astrology a star factor for Japanese politicians

The explosive revelations by Donald Regan about the role of
astrology in White House decision-making would barely raise an
eyebrow in Japan, where politicians routinely seek the advice of
various fortune-tellers.
TOKYO It is not known whether Japan's Prime Minister Noboru
Takeshita has consulted his own astrological adviser on key political
decisions during his half year in office, but veteran fortune-teller
Shinsui Shoji says the outlook is not good for Takeshita's Friday
meeting with President Reagan in London.
