The domino theory tumbles
|
Since World War II the domino theory has been at the core of
American foreign policy as practiced in the Third World. President
Reagan's single-minded determination to sit on the Sandinistas until
they cry "uncle" is only the latest manifestation of a long held
viewpoint. For Mr. Reagan, revolutionary governments in Central
America mean "direct threats at or near our borders."
