On the surface, Wallace Shawn's play, "Aunt Dan and Lemon," could not be more civilized. Odd, but civilized. There are loving descriptions of English teas, with crumpets, clotted cream and strawberry jam. There is talk of student days at Oxford, of family dinners and parties, of music, of sex. And there are passionate political discussions - combative and even shocking at times - but essentially polite.
