Danny Simon envies his kid brother. But Neil Simon's Broadway successes don't make his eyes bulge. Not anymore. There's crueler inequity.

"He's tall and I'm not," said the 5-foot-6-inch Simon with a sigh. "But I say it's because he's standing on his wallet."

And while the family's growth genes lodged in Neil, not all the comedy corpuscles did. Now in his mid-60s, Simon is out from the shadow of his famous sibling and forging a career as a comedy teacher and "script doctor."
