Monkey goes; Syracuse stays

SYRACUSE, N.Y. Rony Seikaly and his Syracuse teammates decided
to douse any further question about coach Jim Boeheim's ability to
win the big one.
To do so, they borrowed a trick from the Super Bowl champion New
York Giants.
After Syracuse defeated Western Kentucky 104-86 yesterday to
advance to the NCAA East Regional semifinals, the players emptied a
water cooler on Boeheim.
"To get the monkey off his back, we decided to wash it off," the
6-11 Seikaly said.
The victory puts Syracuse (28-6) up against Florida in the
regional semifinals Thursday night at East Rutherford, N.J.
