Holy Trinity Parish wins reprieve
|
Holy Trinity Parish has been given a stay of closure by the
Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago.
The non-territorial parish, which has served Polish faithful
from across the city since 1893, will remain open as a mission and
site of special services for recent immigrants from Poland despite a
paucity of priests, declining membership and major building repair
needs, said Joseph Cardinal Bernardin.
