Peaches require a juicy pitch
|
A shy person came into our kitchen the other morning. She
spotted a bowl of peaches and, while peeking out from behind her
mother's leg, asked if she could please have a peach.
I was delighted to oblige her. Before anyone could say "frozen
waffle," which often is said around our house at breakfast time, the
5-year-old visitor was munching on a juicy peach. When she skipped
out of the house, both she and I were smiling.
Lately I've gone overboard with peaches.
