Marshall Frankel, 58, partner in import, export businesses

Marshall Frankel, an international businessman for 27 years, died last week at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a heart attack. He was 58.

Mr. Frankel was as fluent in languages and fine art as he was in opening foreign markets to U.S. products that ranged from orange juice to motors and hammers.

After graduating from Northwestern University, Mr. Frankel co-founded Marshall International Trading Co. and subsidiaries J. D. Marshall International and Marshall Electronics.
