Love risks it all in prison break // Helicopter hijacker did it for her man

Last December, while the rest of Greenville, S. C., braced for a snowstorm and finished Christmas shopping, Joyce Bailey rented a helicopter, pulled a gun on its pilot and forced him to land inside the walls of a state prison a few miles away.

Among the men who came running toward the chopper was Jesse Glenn Smith, 36 years old, doing time for armed robbery. Like the country-music song says, "Ladies Love Outlaws," and Joyce loved Jesse bad enough to risk her life for him.
