One month after the Soviet Union's Chernobyl disaster began, the U.S. nuclear power industry has revved its propaganda machine into high gear.

"It can't happen here," it cried. In reality, a disaster at a U.S. nuclear power plant is not only possible, but likely. It may happen tomorrow, it may take five years, or 10 years - but it will happen. We've been lucky so far. But our luck won't continue forever.
