I was touched by your very kind letter to England regarding shopping on Sunday. However, as a "permanent resident" of England for seven years, I must point out to you that "Closed Sundays" looks very romantic and a terribly civilized idea when the parks and commons are filled with people walking, pushing prams and relaxing in the out of doors.
