With their trade talks for Shane Matthews at least temporarily on
hold, the Washington Redskins are considering signing free agent
quarterback Jeff Blake. Coach Steve Spurrier said yesterday he is
interested in Blake, a former starter for Cincinnati and New Orleans
who was released by the Saints in a salary cap move.
The club also has had preliminary discussions with the
representative for free agent quarterback Doug Pederson, who served
as Brett Favre's backup with the Green Bay Packe...
