118 Are Feared Dead In Iranian Jet Crash

An Iranian airliner crashed today in dense fog in the western part of the country, turning the cloudy sky red with flames and sending burning debris tumbling down a mountain slope. All 118 on board were believed to be dead.

The Iran Air Tours Tupolev Tu-154 crashed at 7:55 a.m. outside Khorramabad, 230 miles southwest of Tehran, the capital, the government said.
