QI seeded a large, bare area with a mixture of fescue and about 20
percent ryegrass to avoid erosion where several large pines had been
removed. I watered the area during the summer dry spell, and it took
hold. The ryegrass did not die during the recent cold spell. What, if
anything, can I do to eliminate the rye without killing the fescue?
