A friend of mine is a nuclear engineer and a horse owner. A recent
episode at his farm would literally make hair stand on end. This
story has humorous elements but deals with a serious safety hazard,
one that horse owners must always be wary of.
My friend has an electric waterer in the field for his horses'
water supply. It's one of the high-tech models with a tall,
cylindrical concrete base, an aluminum rim, a stainless steel bowl at
the top and the heating element inside for the wint...
