Fairfax Judge to Get Federal Seat; President Plans to Nominate Henry Hudson to District Court

Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Henry E. Hudson, a former U.S. attorney and head of the U.S. Marshals Service, will be nominated by President Bush to be a federal district judge, the White House said yesterday.

Hudson, 54, was one of 24 nominees nationwide named by Bush after passing FBI background checks. No timetable was set for either the nomination or the confirmation process, but Hudson noted he had been through it twice before, and expected no problems this time.
